Sugar Hill BOM

Sugar Hill BOM

Sugar Hill was the name given to 13 wooded acres in Southern Vermont by my grandparents 60 years ago.  Among the forest of sugar maples there once stood a sugar house, where sap was boiled down for maple syrup.  The two room cabin my grandparents built on the property became their summer home.

This quilt reflects the fond memories I have of walking through the woods with my grandmother, identifying the flora and fauna, and years later walking through those same woods with my own children.
